The text size to small for streamers. Big problem

I use the title to express the problem in a different way. I dont stream so it wont affect me, but the text size is so small in the game, that it is barely readable on smaller displays. People who will queue up to watch the game being streamed on Twitch on release and forward, wont be able to read the stats of items when they view the game on smaller displays such as phones and tablets. This could potentially be a Big problem for markerting reasons in it’s most important time (release).

And obviously people playing on Steam Deck. Mike said in the latest dev stream that they dont know how to fix this, and i appreciate the honesty, but this really needs to be fixed very soon for so many reasons.

Kind regards

This is a non-issue. There’s zero reason to waste any amount of time doing anything about viewers of a stream watching on a phone. And it is 100% not going to affect marketing in any way. It’s a game made specifically to be played on a PC, not for the cases you point out.

Ofc that wont be a issue for you if you’re eyesight is very good. There are TONS of gamers who are nearsighted who complain about this, therefore it is a problem. Even Mike on EHG said it is a problem.

1.0 will have UI improvements. We just have to wait to see how the new UI behaves and if further improvements are needed.

I agree here that scaling of text would be useful for me atleast. I do not stream but I like to play games without wearing my glasses. If someone don’t agree to this; good for them, but any such views are rather irrelevant.

Good to see ppl agree. My point with the streamers was not that i care for their content specifically. My point was that in a marketing aspect, streaming is by far the biggest pull of new players, and when those players can’t see the text of the game they are watching on the streams, it will cause problems.

Imagine if the 150k+ ppl watching Hearthstone could not see what the cards do while watching tournaments etc. There would be 10k ppl wacthing instead.

A digital CCG is absolutely not comparable to an ARPG in terms of what people are looking at and watching for.

And anyone who is into a CCG enough to be watching a tournament stream of it is going to recognize the cards by sight without reading them 99% of the time anyway, and the remaining 1% is what commentators are for.

Anytime I’ve see a viewer request specific text to be seen, the streamer usually reads it because there’s all kinds of factors at play – video resolution, the viewers reading speed, etc. Text size is never an issue, because it’s just assumed that it’s going to harder for the viewer to read, due to the smaller screen size from having the chat visible as well.
