I stumble on a bug where if you click fast enough on where the time portal is, you get stuck and cannot move nor is time travel back to the other era. Note that i have only tried when going from the Imperial era to Ruined and not vice versa.

The only way out is to log out. (I can use the escape menu but not that map).
This is a known bug.
