The ruined temple - bridge not activating

I was doing The Lotus Halls, quest the ruined temple, and before after picking up the 2 fragments I went to town to empty my inventory as it was full and couldn’t pick up anymore items. When I came back into the instance it did not allow me to activate the bridge to continue. This is multiplayer and I was not in a party.

Mine also isn’t working after just getting to this part of the quest. Were you able to find a way around it or are you still stuck?

I decided to restart the character.
