The Rise of the Messengers

This is a suggestion for an activity within the monos.

The more stability you have the higher chance of a Messengers encounter.
Thoses mini-boss would have skills related to the timeline boss. They would spawn at the same time as you on the map. And will chase you.
Once you defeat them you can decide what to do with them.
Kill> Get a bunch of loot (maybe some specific loot can be found there)
Release> No loot here but a bonus toward the boss kill( Increase chance of boss unique, better blessing rolls,etc…). On the other hand the boss would get extra modifier.
Recruit> Once again no loot here but a bonus for the next fews echos (bonus stability, extra loot, etc…)

I like the thought pattern here, give some more incentive to not only bringing up the excitement of the monos but also a reason to possibly complete more of the maps.

This is actually a cool idea. More incentive within monos to chunk up the grind and make ‘finding’ relevant.

Hum… I think the RECRUIT could be having him to help you clear the mono like a minion, using his abilities and giving you experience. It remembers me of mercenaries in Diablo 2.

I think the greatest thing that a suggestions like this (or very similar to this) could provide is to teach people soem of the boss mechanics.

If that mini-boss gets “mini-versions” of the boss mechanic thsoe mechancis would less surprise complete new players.

Some bosses like Emporer of Corpses (Reign of Dragons Boss) or Rahyeh, The Black Sun have very unforgiving mechancis which can 1-shot people without really being prepared for them.
