The portal to Thetima isn't working, game crashes instantly

When I try to use the portal to Thetima for the main story quest “Liath and Thetima” my game crashes, it has happened to me several times now.

This is happening to me. I cannot enter Thetima, period.

so what i did to fix this, i went to steam where my game is, right clicked last epoch, clicked on properties, and then clicked on local files and then clicked on “verify integrity of game files…”. it then downloaded 13 files i was missing from a previous update. hope this helps

That did not work for me…

I’ve also tried uninstalling / reinstalling. No dice.
