The new league stinks

The league mechanic barely exists while lvling, Appearing only every couple of zones if even that. Making the lvling process feel even more tedious than normal

other arpgs already solved this problem, the new league mechanic exists in EVERY zone.

Then the fact that it is just so boring to engage with, go into a zone, kill some monsters, collect bones (that you can’t spend on anything fun for AGES because everything costs trillion of bones and the special ones that the “boss” drops)

And why in all heck does the area only have 2 layouts??? You are an ARPG You should be using the random terrain generation you have, It gets soooooo stale to go inside the portal and see that my minimap is revealed already and I am just walking the same halls over and over again.

Like what have you been spending these months on? Doesn’t seem like it was making the league mechanic atleast.

Literally a giant downgrade from the previous season, this feels like it was made by EHG back in Kickstarter days.

I don’t see myself spending any more time on this season. And I don’t see it keep a good retention rate.

That would be because it’s not a league mechanic. It’s a core mechanic.

GGG puts it in every zone because the league mechanic is implemented in an overblown way. Which then might or might not be a part of core. And if it is, it’s a very watered down version of it (it certainly doesn’t appear in every zone anymore).

Whereas EHG is adding core mechanics. Rift beasts will be in Season 4 just the way they are now, just like Woven echoes/tombs, Nemesis/lizards and everything else they added so far.

I’ve done the league mechanic many times so far while leveling. I did it first at level 12. I’m not sure what you mean? Are you looking for it? There will be that claw icon on the mini map and you likely missed several by not seeing them.

I find a portal on every map. If people run it down in the shortest way possible… not an issue with the season mechanic.

Yes this makes it useless during campaing

Moreover idk but mechanic feels a bit rippy maybe my char just not capped with related res but where can I find enough res in 1st acts? Maybe it is phys or something else. Build I am playing melts everything in acts but in new mechanic it feels squishy, DPS is enough but mobs seems to have very large AoE idk half screen or so.

It has to be balanced. Because now it is easy to just skip it because no related rewads and overpower mobs

I have almost enough to buy the reflect chest and I still have to finish act 9. Also watching Aaron’s stream, he bought the t-rex primordial before act 10.

So this just isn’t true.

I was able to buy a primordial by about level 65, ur mileage can vary depending on how much you wanna go looking for rifts vs just doing what you are doing and finding them as you come across them

Ancient bones were the bottle neck for me, and crystal hearts are kinda rng, so you can get unlucky there too.

But for the most part, its fairly easy to get a primordial, now getting one with good rolls and good lp is gonna be a grind for sure.

What game are you playing?

I leveled with a friend and at level 10 or so we found or first Primordial portal, then after every zone we found portals/beast. Same with Nemesis. And we are doing it every zone atm (we are lvl 28-29).

Which, if you think about it, is kind of a weird decision. These are the most powerful items in the game. So powerful you can only use one for each build. And yet you’ll get one before even reaching monos, or empowered monos, depending on your RNG.
It would be like getting Shattered Worlds as an end of campaign drop.

Well they are also “build around me”

Alot of them require more then just the item itself to pop.

REliquary nest for example is really strong, but only if you have good idols, if you dont, its an okay item.

The trex is strong, but is an attribute stacking item, so its power is naturally tied to how many attributes you got which is a late game scaler.

Whats more insane is the amulet you get from beasts, +2 all skills, movespeed, all attributes all res? a good rolled of these is frankly insane and they seem to always drop when you finish the lineage?

Either way, there is a decent bit of creep, but also an added extra grind for using them to its fullest potential, so its okay i think
