Am I the only one that thinks burying a core game mechanic in a dog$hit dungeon is a bad call?

This place is soooooo tedious!

If you’d done a search you’d have found the answer to that. You also don’t have to be cute, you can say dogshit.

I would say that it’s probably designed that way to gate you from just saving up and slamming item after item. Or using a character that has it unlocked to slam items from another one.

No matter what, you have to run that dungeon, survive it (gear and skill check) and beat the boss.

it is definitely a gating mechanism - there have to be better ways to do it though. If LE dungeons weren’t so incredibly bad it may have taken longer to notice but rectangles with random roadblocks are not interesting.

No, I suggested that you do a search & you’ll find the answer to your own question while not treating you like a child & spoonfeeding you the answer. Apologies for that. I can treat you like a child & just answer all of your questions if you wish?

I also let you know that despite the in-game profanity filter being so mindblowingly overblown & excessive, the forum one isn’t for some reason. Which begs the interesting question of why.

I have searched and I see similar topics and none of them have a response from a credible source.

If there are plans to change this - great.

If there aren’t - there are less irritating games.

Given that your question was “am I the only one that doesn’t like legendaries being gated behind the Temporal Sanctum”, that’s an easy answer that you’ve already found out (no, you aren’t, though not everyone dislikes them).

The question of whether there’s going to be any change to that is a significantly more complex one because:

  • legendaries are some of the best items in the game, getting them shouldn’t be easy
  • your dislike of the dungeon isn’t universal
  • there is a lot of RNG involved throughout the entire process (from getting the relevant unique with LP & exalted with nice affixes to succeeding in getting the affixes you want) & the devs definitely like having a decent amount of RNG involved in items (they’ve said before that they like having large ranges on rolls as it allows for the possibility of getting an upgrade)

Just wish it wasn’t as buggy. I’ve hit plenty of invisible walls that basically forced me to backtrack and find a new route.

The bugs are getting a little better - I had a character deleted randomly in 1.0.
