The hardest time I have ever had in a dang video game

Marksman Rogue

I think in my lifetime of gaming, I think this has been one of the hardest / difficult times in my gaming experience.. Maybe, i’m not cut out for ARPG games.. Maybe i’m too stupid to listen to people’s opinions.. Maybe, i’m to trigger happy and just changing gear that looks cool but fails me.. Maybe i’m too stupid to understand builds.. Who the heck knows? Should I beg EHG for a refund if that was even possible? I don’t have friends on this game to help me out even though I was already offered help but heres me being an ignorant dummie and not paying attention and doing my own thing.. IDK.. 2,300 into the game.. No level 100 on any given season.. Close I came too was a level 86 paladin and deleted it out of rage and confusion and frustration and me being me hur dur.. I doubt i’ll get responses.. But Comment if you want to or not and just let this post get burried into the memory lane.

Why would you do that? You already played over 2k hours. You have enjoyed the game for a large amount of those hours. For just 30 bucks, I’d say your money was well spent already, even if you decide to quit today and not play anymore.

As for your issue, yes, it’s possible that your limitations make ARPGs the wrong choice of game for you. Or maybe you need to try a simpler one like D3, like I’ve suggested before, before trying more complex ones. It has less choices and affixes and should be a good stepping stone to understanding LE and other ARPGs better.

Ultimately, LE is only going to get more and more complex over time as they add more things to it. Without a proper base of understanding you’re not likely to catch up, given your particular difficulties.

Besides D3, there are a lot of “adjacent” genres you can try out. Games like Dwarven Realms, Slormancer or even the OG Vampire Survivors. All of them share some similarities to LE but their systems tend to be simpler to grasp.

One other thing I’ll point out is that you don’t have to reach level 100. You don’t have to do monoliths. If you’re having fun doing the campaign and get frustrated during monoliths, then just go back to the campaign with a new character.

It’s up to you to decide if the ratio of getting annoyed/frustrated vs having fun is still favourable or not. But getting over 2k hours out of a game for 30 bucks is something you’ll get only from a very select few. Most games won’t even give you 200h of playtime.

LE isnt like other ARPG. You have to invest a lot into defenses. Stack some defenses up and stop focusing so much on offense. Follow a build as well. Game is too confusing and there are too many broken interactions and bugged things to go it alone.

He should have done that ages ago.

Seeking medical assistance too, so his disabilities stop being excuses to avoid self-improvement (although in many situations this is easier said than done).

This isn’t the first time we see this post, and I doubt very much it will be the last.

Oh, it’s him & he’s changed his forum name. Foolish me thought it was a new person.
