I guess you’re right. They certainly were open for the one or other jam session, but not for a commitment to play in a band.

If every game have problem its not the fault of the dev, its the fault of your terrible ISP.
Both your ISP and EHG can do everything right, but your connection still sucks. Why? Routing, the way your data travels through the internet from station to station.
Routing can vary, often with the time of the day. So you might experience a good connection in the morning, but a bad connection in the evening - because your data takes a different path. More people play in the evening, and you can access YouTube just fine - so you come to the potentially wrong conclusion that e.g. EHG has a problem with their hosted service.
Using a VPN has the potential to improve the connection because it circumvents some bottlenecks by taking another route. It’s how I solved problems with playing SWTOR in the evening hours some years ago. And this is where my sponsor comes in - just a little message from Just Kidding.
