The Desert Waystation - Alric not appearing in the Maj'elka Waystation

Alric will not appear in the Maj’elka Waystation on the main storyline The Desert Waystation. I have defeated Zerrick three times in the Titan’s Canyon. Did I miss an important part to speak with Alric to progress him forward?
