The cost to respec your mastery is insane-- it goes up exponentially

to the point to where your never catch up to the respec cost.

Im level 51 - followed the acolyte leveling guide, nowi want to respec to lich from warlock,

3 levels ago it cost me 43k which i didnt have. I had 40k.

i go to do more monoliths, but ive leveled 3x in one mono and the cost went up to 56k.

wtf devs?!

base the respec not on your level, but on how far you have specced into a tree.

ive only spent 30 passives in warlock so far, but to respec my mastery is costing me way too much

If you go farm on a lower level area, you’ll farm gold without leveling up.

Mastery respec is supposed to be an option for when you don’t like the mastery you’re playing with and want to change without having to make a new character.
It’s not supposed to be an optimized way to level and a “whim of the moment” respec ability.

That being said, they did make the costs so that you’ll have enough gold on your first playthrough, unless you spent a lot of it. So I’m guessing you spent gold buying/gambling items?
