The Corrupted Lake map layout

Hello, I was playing a new class and wonder if the layout of The Corrupted lake could be altered to make it less of a pain to back track an entire map just to do a quest and hit a waypoint after coming in from the lightless arbor.

Currently the map starts you in the south of the map. You have to move around the map clockwise, starting out you pass the exit to the next area, a time rift. Then have to move around the map to get to a quest and hit the waypoint Then run all the way back to get to the time rift again. Would it be possible to add a drop down bridge after the waypoint that will bring you back to the time rift so you can exit the map?

Why wouldn’t you just go through the rift & do that quest as soon as you get to Corrupted Lake, when you’ve finished the quest there’s an option to be taken back to the start of Corrupted Lake. No backtracking required. Plus there are more side quests that give passives/idol slots than you can unlock so if you don’t want to do that quest you don’t need to.
