Yep. True, unfortunately. But what’s funny is that judging by the mood around the game, now everyone absolutely doesn’t give a fuck about FP, now one half suggest just waiting results of Krafton’s deal, the other half is already burying the game alive ![]()
To be fair it was ‘Do something about it finally EHG’ before we even knew about the Krafton deal.
People pushed into ‘let’s just wait, it’ll be fixed soon’ and nothing at all being even told that will be done at all.
Then it happened and we changed to your version
When people finally said ‘fuck this shit I’m out’ and now we have only the ones saying the same stuff - which hasn’t shown results - still while the others just went somewhere else.
Lads you’re all right, most of the time you guys say stuff that I know is right but I just rage fight it but no more!
Anyways - bug or not, demoralising or not - I know they have a list of bugs but I feel the big bugs that affect gazillions of players should be addressed with huge urgency, in tech when I was an infra engineer if we had something affecting our client in NZ it was considered a P1 - more than 1 user - super strict due it being the department of corrections ANYWAYS point is the fee was like 100k per 30 mins of unresolved which meant urgent.
The reason I just wall of texted you is because this season one of the most anticipated changes was to beast master and when the wolf builds hit and everyone saw how strong they were a lot of movement went from bear to wolf. Problem as you know was when using the t-rex idol for some super random reason you couldn’t get an extra wolf from the passive in your tree as expected, they knew and for ages “worked on it” they then released a patch saying it was fixed and it wasn’t. Based on what I saw in the bug thread its STILL broken. Now I have no idea of numbers of players who played it or tried it (I tried it fkn loved it) but I guarentee it was a significant portion of people.
How do they decide what needs fixing? Flurry has been broken for god knows how long. Hammer throw for some reason the hammer spiral if running down a corridore would collidge with the walls - I’m super sure this wasn’t happening last season, again would be a lot of players. Dont say thats a design because all the other AOE’s should also feel that issue like warpath etc but they don’t - so it’s a bug and if not then all other AOE that doesn’t hit a wall is a bug (cut it out, stop writing bro you know who you are)
Anyways its super demoralising, I know there are tons of bugs but to see the really big important ones seeminly ignored sucks. I asked on Twitch for a list of the major bugs being worked on so people could look at the list, even if its just 10 bugs and go “oh sweet they’re addressing it” but nah it’s like the same issue as everyone elses no communication to people, again which sucks!
@EHG_Kain said he’s taken the bugs from that new thread and passed them on to go over the top bugs listed by multiple people wouldn’t take long as you can see the major ones, make a new thread, list 10 and only 10 “major” meaning affecting multiple players not just one guy going “bro I lag so hard at XYZ” then you’ll basically have 100s if not 1000s of players knowing and feeling secure somethings happening.
To know there are bugs in this game, big ones in skill trees that have been round for 1-2 years or so that’s straight up embarassing for a game dev company to have on its resume. When I started LE there was a bug where you’d have to unmute yourself in global chat and when I said “that was weird” I’d see 20 people “oh nah that’s been around for ages” and it stayed round long after that. Now we have the friends list bug which in turn also has a party bug where if you’re in a group of 3 or 4 suddenly you might no longer be seen in party chat - type in global they can see you, you have to quit out of the game completely and come back. That was happening ALL this season, probably still is. Again, affecting a huge player portion and reported by myself and LOTS of other people, again should be treated with urgency. Instead you login and see something like “Lagon no longer makes this weird noise when he dies” or something that really doesn’t affect anyones ability to play the game… it’s kinda shitty.
Far out this is long, sorry way to much caffiene this morning!
TL;DR - big important bugs dont get looked at, they have no communication either.
The issue was with frogs where the extra wolf was counting as a companion and spawning less frogs than it should.
And they DID fix it. They just broke regular wolves instead. ![]()
Now if you want a wolf pack with the extra wolf and you want to ressurect your wolves, you have to unequip your other temporary minions like T-Rex or frogs.
But the original issue was fixed, though. You could now play frogs (or T-Rex) with the extra wolf and it wouldn’t count as a companion anymore.
So to get a desired outcome of optimal damage out put - IE maximum wolves (based on what you’re saying) I have to unequip an item and then do something then re-equip it?
I’m no expert but to me that almost sounds like snapshotting ![]()
Point is bug for wolves was around for way to long, specially early season when they should want players to stick around and not leave - just needed comms “working on it bros” lol like I said don’t need a list of 1000, just 5 or 10 bigguns, like if they get 10+ players reporting the same thing. Put me on a mailing list I’ll create a thread and I’ll work for free ![]()
Pssst, do you want to tell him that almost everything else snapshots or shall I?
No. What they wanted to fix was 2 issues:
1- The extra wolf counted as a companion.
2- The summon wolf button on your skill bar wouldn’t allow you to make it howl until you had at least 1 “real” wolf around (in fact, as long as you could have at least 1 more of that minion, it would always be the resummon ability).
The last one was the real issue they set out to fix. And the way they fixed it is that if you have a companion active and also have temporary minions, then the button becomes the howl skill.
They did fix this. You could play frogs and the extra wolf didn’t count as a companion and you had the howl skill button available.
The problem was that this broke actual wolf builds if you used the extra wolf along with the trex, the historic minion or any other temporary minion.
Now, immediately on login, you start with your extra wolf summoned and with your trex. Since you have a temp minion, your wolf skill on the skillbar is now howl.
So if you want your full team, you have to unequip the trex (or the historic minion, which is more annoying because of the +skills).
And if half of them die to a boss, you need to unequip the trex again to resummon them.
The bug they wanted to fix was actually fixed. They just created a new one that made wolf builds unplayable. ![]()
You know what (changing topic) unpopular opinion (mine) I really don’t like the t-rex summon, I used it, it’s strong but I think it should be miniature and super cute not giant and able to respawn faster than my bear and wolves (generic) - loved them on campaign though ![]()
Also thank you for clarifying the bug - I legit didn’t know it was stupid frogs that started it - also woulda been cool if they were tiny frogs.
I think this is my FOV thing leaking over in to the fact everything should be tiny lol
PS - still want notes and urgency on big bugs haha
PPS - it would be cool if I could check if someone has reported the havoc bug because I think most people just think that’s how it’s supposed to be no one ever said in global or party or on voice “this seems like a bug” its usually just “Argghghsfshjdh fucjkkkjkjkjkjkj” etc
Don’t worry, that’s worked on!

Yeah, and that’s exactly the issue I have with EHG’s version of ‘fixing stuff’.
They do absolutely fix stuff… nobody can say anything against that.
The issue is the do it half-assed.
Because let’s be clear… when my fix introduces breaking it in another way as bad then I didn’t fix anything… I ripped a piece off and taped it on somewhere else. In total the tapestry is still as broken as before.
The kinda ‘1 steps forward 2 steps back’ situation to a milder degree… at least it stays at the same amount of faults ![]()
In this specific case they actually increased the number of issues. Because since then, if you’re leveling with wolves and you have the wolf amulet to summon to max companions, then every single zone you enter you start with a single wolf and have to resummon the other one, whereas previously it remembered the limit and you started with both on zone load.
This one was clearly not a good fix. They just jumped to fix the new toy (frogs) and totally forgot how that would affect the rest of the builds.
So they actually did do ‘1 step forwards 2 steps back’ ![]()
i think it would have been fine if t6 felt like t5+1, but the magnitude of power we get from t6-t8s feels more like t5+10
