That one cherry on top. PROPHECIES

So I’ve already written an extensive post about how the feeling of the end-game (the part of the game where only min-maxxers stay, to push corruption and prep to kill Uby) is generally not rewarding due to the infinite layering of RNG.

But the very cherry on top is still this goddamn prophecy system. Might be a cool idea, and it might be cool at the beginning when actually most of the options are useful.
But again this feature doesn’t fit the endgame, where everything but a couple of things is complete trash. So after those 100 too many hours spent on farming those 2T7 for nothing…

THE ABSOLUTE JOKE IS YOU HAVE TO GO CLICK UNTIL YOU GET ARTHRITIS TO FARM A HANDFUL OF RUNES OF HAVOC.

this was a very discussed topic until long ago. Everybody has gone quiet after one dev stream where Mike said maybe you guys are going to improve it by making it more clear what kind of reward the prophecy does.

STILL NOT ENOUGH.
The misunderstanding here, in my opinion, is in thinking that is cool providing a choice with a RNG base… but you’re not providing an actual CHOICE as long as you don’t make the other options interesting, you’re just providing a CHORE.

Despite maybe working well in the at the beginning, this system doesn’t make us “choose smartly” how to spend our favor, because in the endgame and high corruption we farm it faster than we can spend it.

The whole mechanic needs to be changed into something more immediate. Maybe just for the endgame, but here are some options:

  1. “unlocking” with corruption or specific timelines the possibility to “pin” some prophecies. maybe Aberroth first kill unlocks one “pinned” get 1 rune of havoc for 5k favor. Or even better get 10 runes of havoc when we kill harbingers at higher corruption milestones.
  2. Unlock more lenses slots, as a reward for anything.
  3. Create prophecies that can autorenew or can be fulfilled 10-20-30 times… make it cost 50k favor per prophecy as long as i don’t have to spend 30 minutes there everytime. I beg you.

And here we go, that’s my gentle feedback.
