There are a lot of threads asking for balance changes mid-cycle, and a lot of threads/responses asking not to. Why not have both?
Make a Test Realm, that is available through Steam’s “beta-versions” function, so that people can opt out of it in order to not get spammed by constant updates. Test Realm obviously should not have ladder.
Upload every balance or bugfix change for people to test there. Those who want to play current version, play the main cycle. Those who want to play constantly balanced game/help test stuff, play Test Realm.
Developers get more feedback on the changes before the next cycle, allowing them to balance/fix bugs earlier, resulting in a better game next cycle.
There already is one, it’s for the Community Testers.
