Tempted to purchase - couple of questions

Firstly, thanks for checking out this post.

I have been an ARPG fan since D2, and I have been looking to continue that experience for the last 20 years! I play exclusively Hardcore - having recently sunk 1000+ hours into GD, I tried PoE yesterday (just didn’t grab me), I also played Torchlight I and II which I quite enjoyed. Most recently I have been playing a GD mod ‘Reign of Terror’ to bring back some of the D2 nostalgia.

So., there’s the context, here are the questions:

  1. Can I play hardcore - is there a reasonable hardcore community?

  2. Any indication when multiplayer will be around?

  3. There is a ladder I see, How often does this reset?

  4. Is there an in game ‘chat’ mechanic?

  5. Is there an economy? perhaps my only gripe with GD is that there wasn’t any kind of market place - I dont think I traded with a player ever. the ONLY thing that really draws me to PoE is the prospect of a genuine ecomomy - I spent ages in the D2 trade rooms.

  6. Convince me to buy the game, I’m still in lockdown and I do enjoy an ARPG :slight_smile:

  1. yes there is HC

2)phase 3 (soon)

3)resets every patch (6-8 weeks)

4)you can chat in game with other players yes

  1. no trade yet but when multiplayer arrives there will be trading (bazaar)

It should probably be noted that it’s unlikely that the Bazaar arrives along with multiplayer as the two are in separate phases (multiplayer in Phase 3 and the bazaar in Phase 4).
