After the mastery era when you leave End Of Time era you’re taken to the imperial era, when I was teleported into that era, I opened a portal, and was then taken to the outcast camp in that era, where I had no been before. Pretty sure that was not intended.
After chosing your mastery, you’re sent to the Imperial Era, in the Outcast Camp. This will be your new starting point for teleporters for a while. So if you TP from here, you’ll land at the same location.
It’s the same as if you’re in End of Time and create a Town Portal, it will lead you to the End of time.
This is intended.

As Shtrak says, each era has it’s own “hub” (or several in some cases I believe) where your portal will take you.
