Swaping weapons in Last Epoch

Can we have a swaping weapon mechanic? That will change playstyle such as: defensive to offensive, staff to focus and wand, sword and shield to two handed axe, etc… It could work with all kinds of weapons and all types of weapons (normal, magic, rare, green, epic, legendary)

It’s pretty standard for ARPGs to have this. Kinda weird LE doesn’t. Would be great to have.

I think they said so.ething about not wanting it because it would be the optimal way to play to be swapping weapons frequently.

I agree with the devs here.

Yeah imma be real, for poe, never used the mechanic, off hand was just for gems.

poe2? still didnt use it, and was way weaker, because they have that weird weapon passive mechanic, where you can literally hot swap to big 2 hander for slam and spec the slam with 20 special points? like nah that is nasty.

I see no benefit to having weapon swap other then to create problems.

What I see it most used in PoE2 is for buffs, especially for the glyph, where you use passives that just boost the area and effect of it.
So it serves the same purpose as in D2, where you just used it to swap to CTA to get buffs as well.

The weapon swap mechanic would be good to be able switch to Last Laugh sword for a threshold insta kill at 15-20% on tough bosses like Orobys and Uberroth

Imo this is kinda just what im talking about.

You are not using weapon swapping for a “hybridized ranged and melee swapping playstyle” or anything interesting. its just boring utility power. I already suspect that Last laugh will have its culling nerfed/made more conditional because right now its pretty much a forced thing you might as well do for any build that is doing ubberoth. Having that much power on hand is too much of a no brainer.

Swapping is just going to open doors to nerfing items because now they are no brainer choices you might as well run on the second set.

And that’s the reason why there isn’t weapon swapping.

I hate weapon swaps mid fight. Go and get 2 sets of weapons and look how fast you can change them while someone slaps you arround.

On top of it we have enough snapshot problems and don’t need more.

No thanks.

This would just add another layer of tedious complexity without adding any real value.
