Been trying to target farm a common drop unique wand from monoliths Stolen lance and some other unique common drop staffs but from like 15 mono map rewards i get 8 the same weapon same goes for gloves like common drop glove mono maps drop the same gloves like in 85 %. Im max lvl necro have only 1 Reach of the grave HAVENT SEEN ANOTHER drop even if target farm and its a F… common drop i think in my time to get to lvl 100 i would have seen it drop at least few more times on offline it was more common drop.
Some1 should check the drop rates and the specific mono map reward loot table for common unique because most of t he times it rewards set items gotten like 20 vilatrias downfall.
What you’re encountering is known as random number generation. It does not conform to your expectations, but in fact laughs at them.
i get it but the target farm with wand drop blessing and getting same item in 7 out of 10 is ridicilous and cant be right
It’s possible but improbable. This kind of thing has come up in the past, the devs have checked the rng code and it’s random to a reasonable degree (ie, millions of drops) but it’s entirely possible to have patterns/sequences over short runs. If you flip a coin or roll a dice youll be able to see the same kind of behaviour that irons itself out over a sufficiently long number of rolls.
Im lvl 100 necro have seen only 1 Reach of the grave even with wand drop blessing + significant hours in
Necro 100+ over 200 h in, I found like 10 of them, I don`t even pick them up anymore …
You say that you get it, but I don’t think you truly do. It is random. When it rolls the numbers it doesn’t know or care how many times you’ve seen the same item before. It just rolls a number.
It’s never going to be evenly distributed across the drop weightings in the sample size of a single player. Just because the item is Common does not mean every individual player is going to see X number of it after some arbitrary level, number of hours, or echoes played. It means it has a higher chance of dropping, and across all drops from all players, in aggregate more of them will drop in total.
I remember when we could still get uniques and set items from the gambler, there was a site that simulated the probability (and cost) of obtaining the unique/set item you were after.
When I ran mine through the sim, I got 5 of them in the first 100 chances. Fast-forward 13 days, and 7.5 million gold later, I finally got my first, in-game.
RNG iz teh sawk.
Indeed.
