I’ve moved on from making janky Falconers, and now I’m working on a Beastmaster. I’m concerned, though, that once-again I am splitting my focus too much: this build has Cold Damage, Minion Damage, Crits, Frostbite, and Poison. It’s hard to remove some of it, given the split nature of skills like Serpent Strike and the Scorpion, not to mention the “Cold = more Crits” effect from Warcry. My lone copy of Morditas’ Reach has a +112% Crit Multiplier attached, so that’s nice, but it’s not like you can Crit with a DoT.
I’m starting to wonder if stripping out the Cold/Frostbite stuff and just going raw Poison with a Draalsting or Plague Dragon’s Tongue would be better. As an aside, I noticed that even though Serpent Strike and the Scorpion still inflict Poison (because it can’t be removed), they are not considered “Poison Skills” for Plague Dragon’s Tongue while specced with Cold, which is annoying. Either way, I really want to use Morditas’ Reach!
I don’t care if I can’t defeat Aberroth or plow through really high Corruption: I just don’t want the build to suck in the present day lol. Having fun currently - level 67, using the PDT spear for now - but it won’t remain that way for long if I can’t complete Empowered Timelines in a reasonable fashion. I spent four days farming for Morditas’ Reach and a pair of Frostbite Shackles on a different character, to use on this one; never found the gloves, but I won’t keep trying if my build direction is not worth pursuing to the end.
Any constructive input is welcome!
