Hello, I’ve been playing Last epoch since early access and would like to share my opinion on what this game is missing. I have no complaints about the gameplay of the game. I’m one of those players who play solo and don’t bother with the multiplayer part (Thank you for the guild of fortune tellers, a very cool thing), and in particular, the pleasant gameplay of Last Epoch saves the game from such problems as a terrible plot. The plot is so bad that you don’t even mind skipping it the second or third time, so I don’t even want to draw your attention to it, I think it would be better to ignore it altogether.
The only thing I lack for happiness is achievements, and I’m not even talking about achievements in steam, but about achievements within the framework of a seasonal campaign, as this is implemented in other games with a similar gameplay model. Seasonal campaigns give players a list of goals and objectives, motivation to stay in the game, and are also well implemented in the off-season account development system. You can add unique cosmetic items, etc. to rewards for completing seasons. This is a very good thing that many players are already accustomed to and the absence of which leaves a void in your game.
The second thing I would like to see in the game is the so-called home ownership system. There are many options for how to do this: you can give the player an area for building structures and arranging interior and cosmetic items, or give the player a whole city that he will need to look after and develop, and receive some bonuses as he develops. In any case, there is a huge scope for imagination and with proper elaboration it will be the cherry on the cake.
The third thing I would like to talk about is style. Of course, it may seem like me, but players like dark dark fantasy. Perhaps in the next seasons it’s worth starting to thicken the colors. Dinosaurs are certainly cool, but they were nowhere near the pantheon of Howard Philipps Lovecraft.
