So i noticed that when speced into node wild fires it reduces the duration of infernal shade. But this doesn’t reduce the time between ticks like other dot skills do in many other arpgs. Are there any plans to fix this node so that it reduces the time between ticks and increases the over all damage of this skill to close to what tool tip says?
I would suspect probably not since it has a more modifier on it already. Though that doesn’t mean that the more damage couldn’t be increased (since the reduced duration reduces the total damage you get from the skill, is that node underpowered?).
My thing with it though llama is usually any reduced duration to a dot a skill in other games reduces the time between ticks but still maximizes the damage, this node reduces the damage because of how the node reduces the time before infernal shade falls off but not the time between the damage. Just changing that one thing would make the node work good for the skill.
Yes, though if you changed reduced duration to just squeeze the total damage into a smaller amount of time then you’d have the reverse happen with increased duration, and this would be the case for any other duration skill.
IMO, it’s good that different games treat things differently even if it does confuse players for a bit sometimes.
