Suggestion: Make Warpath slide on collision

What I mean is, when colliding with a wall the player should slide on it instead of get stuck in place until they switch to an angle that does not point towards the wall. This is not a problem most of the time but it is annoying when it happens and also sometimes deadly (e.g. in the Lagon fight when he shoots the beam since you’re always close to the wall to do damage).

While there are definitely improvements that could be made to pathing of movement skills, I would also like to say that there are a few instances where certain maps messes up the pathing of skills like Warpath - so it could be the map that is causing these “annoying” movement issues you are experiencing…

The devs have already confirmed and corrected this in previous maps but if you find a place where you can consistantly cause Warpath pathing to mess up and get stuck, then please post a screenshot / clip of the location (showing map name and map overlay) so that the level/map designers can check those specifically.

(ps. Just do a quick search of the bug section to see if anyone else has already reported the same location to prevent duplicates).

I’d also like the movement speed of Warpath to be dependent on the distance your cursor is from the Sentinel, so if your mouse is close up then Warpath moves slowly (like Cyclone does in PoE).

Assuming you mean the actual movement speed of warpath from point to point rather than the spin speed changing?

Obviously.

That would be a nice QoL too but I think the collision fix is way more important, I died twice to Lagon because I got stuck on the wall trying to do damage while moving away from the beam :sweat: . Should mention that also in PoE cyclone does not collide on wall, that’s how I first noticed something was off because most of my builds around 3.10-3.13 were a variation of cyclone with phys or cast on crit and I never had this problem.

I did notice that too, rarely but I distinctly remember this being super bad in an area on the campaign with tight long corridors, sadly don’t remember at all the exact location. I’ll try to report on 0.9 when I level up my online char.
