It would be a great addition if we could just not display the affixes that don’t meet criteria of your current rule. IE: “unobtainable due to other conditions: Item Type” in red text next to the affix. Instead of displaying this string output next to the affix. Just don’t display the affix at all. (and if no categories have any “obtainable” affixes, just don’t display that entire category as well) Or give a toggle option to not display them? It would reduce a lot of clutter when trying to create your loot filters.
As a toggle (probably even in the top of the rule you’re creating) it’s a good idea. But with it toggled off by default, since it does help teach new players that some affixes aren’t available in all item types.
You could even extend that info by having some (?) sign at the end that when hovered would list the types it can be crafted on.
And once you toggle on/off, creating or editing rules from then on remembers that toggle.
Seems like the best way to implement this to please everyone and still give some useful info to new players.
Grayed out for non-applicable ones with a opt-in to entirely remove them from visibility would be fantastic… and also would be great for UI-declutter, yes.
And another thing that could be changed is to simply list the damn affixes in alphabetical order. It’s very annoying trying to find something when they’re all over the place.
Same thing for affix list when crafting.
This is a UI basic rule which I have no idea how it got past them. Every single list in this game has some weird order (most likely min level requirement or even implementation order) rather than listing alphabetically.
