I know it might not be the place for it but for the first 50 hours of gameplay I had no issues whatsoever even doing late game content (empowered monoliths) but the performance of the game has severely decreased up to a point where it’s a little bit unplayable.
I have freezes every time I open the stash or interact with vendors, I have freeze spikes during monoliths, etc. It might be a problem with my system, I am bottlenecking my GPU due to not being able to upgrade right now, but if it can be a hard drive problem I might be able to do something about it. All in all I would just like some feedback because it seems that my problems might be a mix of my system being faulty and the game having issues.
an instance of RADAR_PRE_LEAK_64 in there, which can be indicative of a memory leak (in Diablo III or some component used by your computer, such as Graphics drivers).
a few app crashes within GCC (you’re a developer?), but when loading atiadlxx.dll, which is an ATI-related library
To me, these suggest you might also have some dodgy combination of driver/GPU. I’m not familiar with AMD driver versions, so i’m not sure if you are current, but you could try upgrading (or downgrading) your graphics drivers.
I’m thinking about reinstalling windows today since I’m buying an m.2 ssd so that will hopefully fix any problems with the OS.
Regarding the RADAR_PRE_LEAK_64 instance I only installed and played D3 for a couple minutes yesterday on this system for the first time (hadn’t played or installed d3 in over 3 years).
GCC here is Gigabyte Control Center, I just realized that with a friend.
My GPU drivers are always up to date but there was an issue I had in the past with the driver updater software that corrupted my OS before, so no clue about that.
Oh. Nice. No idea why Gigabyte would name their app the same as a compiler
Thats weird that the Gigabyte app crashes inside the graphics card drivers. Definitely could suggest a hardware issue, but hopefully not. Maybe it just isnt quite seated correctly? If youre opening the PC anyway, might as well reseat it.
Also, EHG released a patch this morning which apparently addressed one memory leak, so that should help with general instability issues
So I have installed my new NVMe M.2 and also did a clean new install of windows, CMOS reset, components unplugged and plugged again, all drivers updated and even wiped all my drives so everything is fresh.
My problem with the stash and vendors is mostly gone but I still experience weird lag spikes during gameplay.
I’ve also noticed that one of the biggest LE content creators posted a video today and he had the same issues there, although he didn’t mention them.
I don’t know what else to do at this point. This has really made me stop playing the same and I really would like to get back to it.
Yah - sorry the copy/paste is from a template. To report lag, you can probably just report display name, character name, date and time you noticed the lag with your timezome and the server region you were connected to at the time
I understand the autopilot copy/paste, but saying the same thing again after already talking to me before and me saying it’s clearly not a network or server problem again is just weird. I’m just trying to get to the bottom of the problem and go back to playing but I guess I’ll just drop the game if no one is able to get to the bottom of the problem and it’s not a me problem.
