I’m using the Tempest Strike node: Storm’s Aid, which gives lighning bolt procs a chance to summon a Storm Totem. During the Lagon fight, the totem can be summoned in the void behind him, causing him to behave erratically. He’ll charge his beam and then turn around and instantly be attacking you instead. Or you can see him charge the full moon attack, but then he turns around and hits your totem instead.
Yeah, that’s because that’s where the base of Lagon’s model is & the totem uses the base of the model as the target for it to appear. Then Lagon’s AI is getting confused because he’s then switching his aggro between you & the totem.
