Steamdeck: Skill button interrupted on Skill Use

I started a new character in offline mode as a Sentinel, wanting to try out a new skill path. Upon unlocking the beginning skills in the tree (Vengeance, Warpath, Hammer Throw, Lunge) they all add to the skill bar as normal, everything working as intended. Each skill gets bound to the default layout (Vengeance on ‘X’, Warpath on ‘B’, Hammer Throw on ‘RB’ and Lunge on ‘LT’).

Once I unlock Rive, I go down to the hotbar to swap out Vengeance for Rive (bound on the ‘X’ button). Once I make this change, if I try to use the Warpath button (mapped to ‘B’) the game immediately cancels Warpath and executes the ‘X’ button skill, interrupting Warpath. I thought this was a little strange, maybe a temporary bug, so I closed the app and went back in. The same issue, where when I press the ‘B’ button to activate Warpath, I’m interrupted by Rive and never get to use Warpath.

As a test, I started another character on the live server. Same build as a Sentinel and left the same default skill maps as listed above. Again, once I get Rive and remap the hotbar for skill ‘X’ as Rive, I am unable to execute Warpath on ‘B’ as it gets immediately interrupted by skill bound to button ‘X’

I worked around this by binding ‘X’ to Warpath, and rebound Rive to ‘B’, but this lead to Rive not always activating either.

Upon further testing this weekend, I have found that this behavior happens any time that I swap out a skill on the hot bar for a new skill. For example, if I were to swap out the RB skill for something new (say Anomaly), the ‘B’ skill button would start to be interrupted by the ‘X’ skill button. So, regardless of which skill gets swapped this starts to happen. Eventually the interrupting behavior stops, but I’m not sure what triggers it to stop.

Also, I’ve noticed that during the time when the ‘B’ button skill is being interrupted, if I go into the map and then use the ‘B’ button to close the map, it locks my ‘X’ skill until I use another skill first. I believe these are all related.
