That is a good sign. Unfortunately things like mobs firing at you from off the map when you have already run away from them to where they are at least half a screen out of sight and their aggro range appearing to be several screens is kind of not fun. It was to the point where the flame pillar was no longer rendering straight up and down but on an angle.
