Okay, sort of trivial post but what are the odds, that I’d find an exact duplicate of a unique.
The first one I found weeks, heck, maybe a month or so ago, kept in my stash.
The other one I just dropped today.
The EXACT same stats EXCEPT for the 2% difference in innate movement speed.
I normally wouldn’t ask, but all of the stats for this item have pretty variable ranges.
It’s not really that big a deal, so if it’s way too much of a pain to try to calculate that, no worries. I just thought it was sort of interesting and note-worthy. Rather funny, too.
Oh, and I’m fairly sure I’ve only seen one or two other pairs, so not like they’re dropping like flies for me.
There are three stats that even roll. Both movement speeds and the mana gained as ward. And ranges on those roles are not really that wide. So i dont see anything unusual here.
Not impossible… I have gotten plenty of these over time - usually the ones with small ranges in affixes or a limited number of affixes (like the early game uniques) - even one or two set items. Transient Rest I have gotten identical ones too - even the implicit rolls matching. I figure its just the ranges that make it more possible on some items and after a while, chances are probably pretty good that you end up with copies… The old spreadsheet junkies would have to confirm but I dont think its anything special.
Yeah I still ask from time to time how high the odds are to find the base you want with max rolls and 4 affixes on the item you want. Still no math nerd could be bothered so far ^^.
