When making “Category 3” it is always connected to the previous “Category 2” no matter how I try to change it, and it will not allow me to delete it as well I can right click any other Category and it will show up in the pull down menu there but it will never allow me to delete it and when I add another Category, 2 of them are always connected in this way when they should be separate. I have reinstalled the game and it did not fix this.

This is a bug introduced in 0.9. It fucked up my stash and it even causes you to loose stash tabs. The stash tabs are still in the save games folder, but don’t appear in game. Devs haven’t even acknowledged this bug, despite claiming to take data loss seriously. Don’t try to change categories until they fix this bug, as I made the problem worse by doing so.
If you make a couple new categories check if the tabs that you lost are in those new categories as shown in the video towards the end thats where it placed the ones that poofed for me.
