I’m creating a DoT build with flame reave and I have a question in regards to how spreading flames work.
I’m using the node catalyst of ash which gives me a chance to cast fireball using flame reave, now which spreading flames ailment would apply on the enemy if I had spec’d into it on both fireball and flame reave ? since spreading flames does not stack
Is it the one that hits first ?
If both would proc it, the last one to proc it would be the one that sticks on the enemy. So if Flame Reave hits first and applies it, it’s application would be overwritten by Fireball’s if it also procs it.
At least, that’s what I’d assume would happen. Going past maximum stacks in other ailments or buffs just overwrites the first to effectively extend it’s duration.
so if I only want my fireballs spreading flames to proc I don’t spec it for flame reave
thanks for the fast reply,
have a nice day LividLegends

Yea you’d never really need more than one thing applying Spreading Flames, so long as that one thing isn’t on a long enough cooldown where there’d be downtime in the Spreading Flames.
