When going back to the beach landing area to do the water relic quest, Alric was waiting on the beach. He is in the camp with me, but going to do this quest puts him back on the beach where you landed.
That’s not a bug, the quest state doesn’t update the location of the NPCs in a zone. Though it would be nice if it did.
