What went wrong?
When playing offline on PC and Steam Deck, entering a new zone seems to disable the melee procs. Firebrand stacks, arcane aegis, frost claw melee procs, etc, do not apply. I realized if the frost claw retaliation triggers an ice barrage cast, the issue goes away for the rest of that zone. Not sure if it’s related, but I’ve also noticed that I will enter new zones with two stacks of arcane aegis that have no duration. I can still get four stacks, but will always end combat back at two.
I found hard casting Ice Barrage when I got this bug in a zone fixes the bug. melee hit procs still regularly stop triggering when I enter a new zone, but hard casting Ice Barrage fixes the issue each time somehow…for now. I’ve reported the bug in game a few times with more info as I learn. Hoping this comes up in a google search for someone facing similar issue.
