since patch 0.7.7 i have the problem that after every major patch my specializations will upgrade but you can´t skill anything. so basically i won´t get any skill points! this happened with every of my chars with patch 0.7.7, 0.7.8 and 0.7.9
i end up doing a new character, because the old ones are not usable any more. and lose your specialization just to do the same one again from level 1 is also quite exhausting and no fun at all.
That was because they reworked the xp curve for skills, itll stop when the skills get to the correct amount of xp for the new skill levels.
As Llama said, this is unfortunately a bug with characters created before 0.7.8. However, what happened is that your character had more skill points than skill levels. So, when the skill leveled up, you would not be granted a point, but you did not lose any points.
If you want to play that old character still, the issue should be resolved after leveling up a few times.
that levelling up a few times is difficult. i am not getting any xp on those “broken” skills. they leveled up on time and than no more. i respecced a specialization. leveled up the new skill to 15 while the other skill is stuck on 17. i simply play a new char. but thanks for the help.
