im experiencing some sound issues, environment and effect sounds are mixing and more muting themselfs.
At some point as i was playing coop with my friend half the sounds started to mute, miss or go crackly. We reboot client and all go backs to normal for like 5 minutes and than sound go wonky again. We decided to play like that either way or just mute, but as time goes on we the audio started to get worse and some serious stuttering, at a point that was just unplayable. Is anyone having the same problem?

Same for me, have to restart like every 15 minutes. Extremely frustrating!

Same problem here i play acolyte , its specific to this season i had no issues before…
I’m also having this issue on my Necromancer.
Performance takes a bit hit once the sounds start messing up.
Same thing happens to me. Sound will randomly start lagging and game performance starts to get choppy. A client restart fixes it until it eventually happens again. Feels like a memory leak somewhere
Same problem here, playing as a Necromancer.
Tried many fixes but none work long-term:
– Changed Windows sound settings to 16-bit / 48 kHz
– Tested launch options -force-dsound and currently trying -force-wasapi
– Disabled unused audio devices and spatial sound
– Checked different audio outputs (USB headset vs analog)
– Running the game as administrator
Still getting the same issue: after some time in game the audio starts breaking or disappearing until I restart the client. Also noticed the game begins to stutter slightly around the same time the sound issues start.

Seen reports on Reddit that this may be related to MTX cosmetic pets (not summons/minions). Some players said removing their cosmetic pet and restarting the client fixed the issue for them. I’ll be testing this soon.

I agree with the Reddit post. I had Golden Guppy and Thread Strider on. After removing them, the issue went away. I did not try one at a time to see if one was responsible.

You are a legend for this. I had the same issue, audio stutters after about 10-15 minutes of gameplay that got progressively worse. Eventually began impacting gameplay as well through dropped frames. I had the Golden Guppy and Thread Strider pets equipped. Unequipped them and no issues since.
