hello everyone, i bought Last Epoch 2-3 weeks ago and really loved the game kudos to the developers they did alot of things very fun and it was a good purchase for me, but i have one huge problem with the game and maybe developers can change this design decision in the future for more enjoyable gameplay at least for people like me
my biggest problem with this game is “mana”, i’ve tried to make an enjoyable archer build but i couldn’t because of the mana problems, archer builds are like a mana sponge and without a mana potion or a reliable mana back mechanic they are chore to play
please either add this game to mana potions like diablo 2 or nerf archer skill’s mana requirements alot and i mean alot not just by %10-%20
first of all ty for all the replies, i asked some help from a streamer on Twitch and thankfuly he and his chat was very helpful, it seems that i needed at least 17+ mana regen, i added some mana regen on my gear and now my mana issue solved,

they nerfed mana efficiency global rolls on items, that hurt IMHO. You’re pretty much required to get mana regen a few places (NOT ‘one’ lol) and mana efficiency BY SKILL (which also sucks). We’re so far NOT in happy place with skill c/down, mana cost, regen IMHO.
They did not “nerfed” mana efficiency, they removed it from gear.
But buffed mana regen rolls so much, that just one T4 rolls will already give you the same mana regen than before mana regen nerf and a T5 will give you even more.
That together with more slots that have mana regen available, you can get waaaaaaaaaaaaay more mana regen than before, which allows alot of builds, that were not possible before without using an active mana regenerator.
I call that a huge plus.
Since you still can use active mana regenerators, if you prefer that playstyle.

EHG is still testing/balancing whats feels right in regards how much mana is spent.
But in the current state the result is a forced/ stalled gameplay where mana is the gameplay enabler in many cases.

This is an intended design decision, the devs want mana to be a limited resource/problem that you have to decide how to build around when you build your character. They don’t want it to be like PoE where there are so many ways to trivialise the mana cost of skills.
The only builds that would (/should) stack attunement are Primalist/Sentinel casters. Everybody else ignores it, as they should, you don’t see non-ward/acolyte minion builds stacking Int.
I know there are alot of people around in the community who think mana regen affixes are worthless.
Really cool to hear people that actually trying it, even though they didn’t consider them initially being happy with it.
I can’t emphasize enough how much the new mana regen can change a build. You can go to a completely passive mana regenerating playstyle if you want for alot of builds.
I agree also that mana reg is powerful and worth to invest.
Before mana reg changes i invested on mana effiency.
Which worked also.
And this is how it should be. If they change on some system it should be ”worth to invest”
I dont like when games do things like ” Oh you started to build around this. yeah its nerfed so hard that you probably want to start over”
And then i think why i have been given this option if its worthless completely.
