Some QOL I'd Love to See

In no particular order:

  • “On Hit” damage numbers and “Damage Per Tick” damage numbers in skill popups and stat mouse overs in character sheet. Just the average DPS is very limiting, and when mixed with the fact many skills in this game have cooldowns it makes gauging damage potential very difficult. It’s hard to tell if I am actually getting an upgrade in the way I want to upgrade at end game because of how limited the information is.

  • Customizable mouse cursor. I NEVER lost my cursor for more than a split second in Lost Ark because I made it big and bright green. It’s easier to find a needle in a haystack than LE’s mouse cursor. PoE’s introduction of cursor micro transactions with the free high contrast cursor meant I stopped losing PoE’s cursor, too. Please get this in ASAP.

  • Background, italics, bold, and border options for the loot filter so I can add different forms of emphasis. Sound options could also be nice. This would be great to have just because of how many colors are used as base emphasis for certain loot, and an excellent addition for those suffering from forms of color blindness.

  • New targeting rules we can add individually to each skill slot: Attack Towards Mouse (auto targets if “close enough” to mouse), Precise Attack Towards Mouse (never auto targets, only targets mouse(, Auto-target Closest to Mouse If Nothing Targeted, and Auto-target Closest to Character If Nothing Targeted. Many attacks will auto aim to the closest enemy. We need more options to match use and purpose of each skill we slot. I’ve attacked back INTO enemies and gotten killed, or auto aimed on an enemy when I meant to attack around them or to purposefully attack towards the cursor. Meanwhile other skills I’d LOVE to auto target so I can more easily kite instead of having to whip my mouse across my desk to land the attack.

  1. The entire character sheet is getting an update. Maybe next patch?
  2. I’ve been seriously considering getting yolomouse because I have this problem in multiple games.
  3. There’s been tons of discussion on more customization for the loot filter but expect that to be maybe one day and not soon.

It’s not coming next patch, it’s been pushed back (again) because of mp.

I agree, some more information would definitely be nice. Getting an accurate picture is kind of difficult, especially when temporary and scaling buffs are involved.
However, I remember the devs stating that they don’t want too much dps information to be available, in response to someone asking for an overall DPS tooltip on the training dummy.
Unfortunately, I cannot produce a reference to that (I think it was in a friday dev stream), so take this with a grain of salt, I might be misremembering.

They’ve said it many times in many places.

I don’t want to spend money on a 3rd party program just to compensate for bad UI elements. The only times I need mouse help in games are ARPGs where the visual noise can lose it. Just let us customize it. I feel like that should be a relatively simple UI improvement compared to most other UI changes and improvements they should work on.

Eh, wouldn’t doubt, but there are some things that just seem to be arbitrarily hard to determine. Even PoE got weird with some things. LE is even worse with its current UI.
