Everything is disappearing in the market. Everyone knows their will be a flood of gold soon. Why is it ok to kill the eternal realm market in order to save the cycle market?
Mmmmmm, the cycle will go in the legacy anyway, that this happen on 19 September or later will not change the final result of the legacy economy, and I donât think this is the reason for the problem you are pointing out, maybe simply there are few people playing, so few item on the market in general
Eternal realm had dupes or no? I would assume it has gold cap per item? I not logged on in a while as i am burned out.
I would suggest maybe sticking to offline. Honestly, clear as day the game should been entirely offline like grimdawn and not wasted a year on online. Shame. Live and learn
I donât know, youâd have to ask the players that are doing it. 'Cause this will be entirely player-driven rather than Tencent the devs (which is what it feels like youâre implying, but that could just be me).
It was/is the same as season, as you know.
I mean, not really? What weâll have is a flood of new items in AH. There is no reason to assume cycle players will have more gold than legacy players and, in fact, there is plenty of reason to think the opposite.
This is like the price craze that followed the exploit where players increased prices massively even though the exploit gold wasnât there anymore (which meant that they didnât actually sell most stuff, but even then they kept the high prices, cause⌠you know⌠).
Likewise, players are now thinking that there will be a huge influx of gold when the most likely is that many of the cycle players wonât even login and the ones that do will probably stay in cycle.
So what players should be doing is simply raising high amounts of gold, since there will probably be many new juicy items to buy in AH once the migration is done.
That being said, I also have to agree with Chomp:
Apart from the gold dupe in 1.1, all of that duped gold from 1.1 season will hit 1.1 legacy in addition to the 1.1 legacy duped gold. Idbe surprised if there were more people in legacy duping gold than in season tbh.
Paraphrasing Mike in his stream âI think people grossly overestimate how much gold from the dupe is still aroundâ.
So if we ignore the dupe gold, Iâd imagine legacy players to have more gold, on average, than cycle players.
Also, like I mentioned, many cycle players wonât return for the event. I donât expect LE to go back to 50k players for it.
And many that do will make a new cycle character again.
So most of the gold from cycle will go into legacy but wonât be used.
Like I said, the biggest impact of the merge (and this is also true in PoE) is simply that legacy will get a bunch of shiny new items to snipe at day 1. After that, MG will go on as usual.
