Smoke Bomb request

I would like to see a way to attach smoke bomb to the player using a rogue as they move around the map.

That’s the suggestion, the rest is personal fluff on thought processes of suggestion. Feel free to skip it as nothing worthwhile will be said, just my thoughts.

My reason why I want this, is because I feel like the rogue is supposed to be a highly mobile play style. And having the smoke bomb can force static play, which I feel “hurts” the class.

Ideally this would be a still tree mode addition, but as far as I’m concerned a unique item or passive tree threshold node would suffice as well.

For those who say it will need balance, sure why not start with something like 70% reduced benefit’s from smoke bomb. And just tweak till player happiness /dev desire scale is balance.

Ideally smoke bomb benefit’s it wouldn’t be reduced as “similar” classes buffs (for example sigils) don’t have placement or location restrictions. Additionally, “buff” skills like sigils gain new effects when activated and are passive buffs prior to activation. I assume an issue may be said with class identity and I get it.

As rogue is a season 4 main focus and this is a well received suggestion, and “easy” to implement I hope it can make it in. That being said I never expect any suggestion I make to actually happen, just wishing here.

I don’t see why not. It could be a passive In the skill tree similar to how consecrated ground can be turned into an aura in Judgement skill tree.
