The small rocks that fall down in the lightless arbor boss fight feel like they still do way too much damage, they’re effectively one shots until you’ve pushed your gear way further than you need to in the other t4 fights, and on top of that it’s not veyr realistic to do this fight without a form of mitigation specced/on your bar (rebuke, warcry etc…), which leads necromancer to feel terrible in this encounter as it currently doesnt have access to anything but bone armor.
The side effect of these feeling so overtuned, is that it makes the giant oine shot smash feel relatively like a nothign mechanic, as giant smash is doing the same damage (killing oyu) as the tiny rocks.
There are ways to deal with these tiny rocks of course, running around and never getting hit, using something like rebuke etc… but the problem is that they just become the single difficult part of the fight, as the amount you have to gear up to deal with them, means everythign else in teh encounter has now been trivialised, including phase 2.
Sure this could sound like someone crying for nerfs because encounter too hard, but the actual core issue here is that by having these little rocks do so much damage, the rest of the fight becomes almost nothing. They could honestly be nerfed as much as doing half the damage they currently do, you would still be forced to dodge them when the burst comes in, as 3 or 4 hits would kill you, but it wouldn’t become a mechanic that the only possible way to deal with is to gear up for.
tl;dr small rocks do too much damage, so you have to gear a lot more, making every other mechanic (and the other t4 dungeons) trivialized. Please nerf small rocks (seriously, 50% would be completely fine, they’d still be terrifying)
As a note for how they’ve felt to people in the pinnacle boss race, a decent number of people aren’t sure if these rocks are just bugged in how much damage they do. Like they might actually be, the damage is ridiculous. And it’s also been the single most talked about boss mechanic by a huge amount.
