So, I’ve tested it now on three characters, a couple times each, to make sure I wasn’t misremembering. Conclusion, the +skill bonus from items is overwriting the skill points I’ve naturally allocated from leveling the skill.
Specifically, I/we want certain skills to be allocated naturally from the skill level, then the bonus +skill level comes from item bonuses, like +2 Judgement, or + 2 Thorn totem, go into skill points that I want but don’t need. That way, if I were forced to replace the item with +skills pts, the points I want allocated the MOST remain in place after I lose the bonus points from the item. Problem is, they aren’t .
I’ve even removed the item with +skill pts, then deleveled the skill and releveled the skill (without equipping the +skill bonus item), so I could be sure all 20 points were allocated naturally where I want them. Then I equip the item with +skill pts, and add them to places I want but don’t need. THE GLITCH occurs when I eventually upgrade/remove the +skill item, and somehow magically the points that I allocated naturally have been removed/moved, and the latest points I allocated from the item bonus have become the ‘new natural’. Meaning, the points I need are gone (not maxed 4/4 etc.), and the points I wanted but didn’t need are now maxed instead.
Are you aware of this bug?
Thanks!
