On bigger patches like 8.1 are chars wiped or skills reset anything like that?
they are if the skill has been changed at all. (usually)

The content of my chest was wiped at some point though, between 0.7.x (forgot which, the one where they removed death mark skill, I think) and 0.8.1. No biggie, I had only common uniques and my “legacy” gear sucked :). Not sure if that affected everyone or just me?
That was likely a bug that corrupted your stash, since they didn’t do any wipes between removing Mark for Death & 0.8.1.
