Hello! Have been playing the alpha all week and wondering if there is a place where I could find skill effect definitions?

Not sure if this will help you either but would like to add that you can actually get a lot of information from the character sheet in game (hotkey C).
If you go to the other stats page and mouse over the various listed stats it provides more details on the status effects you can get from gears.
