Skill DMG Type Conversion UI ***REQUEST***

TLDR: Please update skill tree nodes to match conversion where appropriate.

Before i start i did notice in patch notes there’s a way to zero out any non applicable values, i have no idea if this applies to this. Just saying if that is what I’m asking for my bad on not knowing.

So what i would like is when you convert a skills original damage to an alternative, either from skill tree node or item(cold flask for example). Is for the skill tree nodes wording to update and state for example go from 4% inc phy to 4% inc cold. OR ailments chance to apply or penetration basically the UI would let u know that its now (cold related 4 example).

The reason i ask for this is simply “clarity”, atm there is “constant” reoccuring confusion when (you conver skill “x” to “y”) toward ok which nodes actualy apply or convert now.

P.S. If this sound like a great idea and you want to do it but its a programming nightmare u wish i didnt mention …SRY .

P.P.S. If the text in skill tree node UI changed to a matching colour text or coloured text outline higlight to match the dmg type. I (ideally atm) wouldnt complain.

Some nodes are intentionally not converted. Why? Most likely, the skill receives different buffs when converted than in its original version.
For example, Vengeance. It can gain Bleed Penetration depending on your physical resistance. When converted to Fire, it doesn’t gain Ignite Penetration depending on your Fire Resistance, but there is a node that deals more damage depending on the number of Ignite stacks on the target.
And the developers probably think this is obvious, so they don’t include a note stating that this node doesn’t convert. We, the players, have to test it ourselves.

There are also abilities that I still don’t understand why they don’t convert. For example, in the patch announcement, they mentioned that Aftershock would convert to Lightning if Earthquake was converted to Lightning. Um, there’s also a node for Fire conversion. Did they forget about it? Or is it intended not to convert?

You’re right, but I don’t think the developers will get around to it anytime soon. It would be better to add new drop sounds to the loot filter.)))
