I have a bug in the game, I dropped an item that gives me 2 skill lvl to distribute, I put them in the skill but when I exchange the item for another he instead of taking the skill I put with those points he takes the ones I I had already allocated it before and it won’t let me put it back, that is, it messed up all my skills distribution and I can’t fix it anymore, without having to respec, will I need to level everything again because of this?
That is the intended behaviour, not a bug. The game uses an algorithm to determine which points to remove rather than just removing the last X points you assigned, or the extra points you assigned because of the item.
this doesn’t make any sense, or at least there should be a warning/information regarding this mechanic, terrible!
Its implemented to prevent people from abusing the skill trees by adding and removing skill boost gear… There are various instances where this can be abused (especially if you have T6/7 +skill boosts)… for example: spec’i ng a skill for AoE damage, then removing the gear and re-equipping it and specing for single target damange immediately before a boss fight… This is a design decision by the devs and is a hot topic of discussion if you want to participate in the feedback forums… but as Lllama says, its not a bug.
