Skeleton Vanguard interaction with Summon Skeleton

I was wondering if anyone’s already tested the Skeleton Vanguards with Bone Curse. Do they count toward your max skeleton limit with either Summon Skeleton or Skeleton Mages?

They do not count towards those limits.

On that note do they gain any of the benefits from the summon skeleton tree like summon limit or damage?
