No, I didn’t look for something that no one has complained in 2 years. If people complained about it 4 years ago and they don’t complain about it now, that means they’re not having this issue anymore (or they left).
It also means that barely anyone (if any) of the 250k players at launch had this issue, because some would complain about it.
So no, you definitely can’t say that 100k+ players have this issue without sounding extremely hyperbolic. Especially when there aren’t even 100k players playing this season. It’s like saying that 20 billion people on this planet have webbed fingers.

I did look. I searched for sound bug and sound issues and there isn’t a single mention of your problem since the 1.0 launch. I didn’t bother looking further back because it’s not relevant. If no one complains about something like this for 2 years, then it’s not a global issue.
As I said, there are only complaints this season and they’re related to pet MTX. No one else seems to have your issue since the launch.
I think it’s you that actually didn’t look and didn’t realize that you’re the only one with this problem.

Because a bug that hasn’t been complained about in 2 years isn’t a bug that people are having.
This is bug that only you are having and maybe a dozen other people.
Does that help to understand? A 2021 thread about a single person having an issue isn’t relevant. And it certainly is very very far from “100k+”.

Yes, it’s been out since 2021. And it also had a lot of bugs that have never happened since, or happened only to a couple of people.
It doesn’t change the fact that the problem you have is something that is happening to only you and no one else has complained about it in more than 2 years.
Also, the post you linked doesn’t seem to have anything to do with your issue. That link is about LE assuming a different sound source when you have monitors with speakers and thus having no sound. There was nothing there about it crashing every 20 minutes like you have.
So not even that post is relevant for your very specific issue that no one else seems to have.
Or, maybe your issue is simply the same everyone else is having this season alone, and that didn’t have it in the previous seasons, and it’s related to the pet MTX bug. Which is solved by unequipping the pet.
Either way, it’s not a “long standing bug that 100k+ people have”. Whichever way you want to slice it, you’re not right about this.

Last Epoch was released in 2019.
Then in 2024 they changed the serial number to 1.0.
Nothing special happened in 2021 I think? I’d say it was 0.8, which is to this day the best version of the game, but LE itself was released before.
Personally, I was just going along with his statement. I only started playing LE in 2023 and I never memorize these dates, so I assumed he was correct, not being a moron that can use google.
Aug 21 was around 0.8.2-0.8.3, 0.9 (multiplayer) was Mar 23 & 1.0 was Feb 24. If Aug 21 was the last time this bug was posted about (& I think they moved to the in-game bug report with either 0.9 or 1.0) then it’s not a particularly widespread issue (as the OP claims). Not that that means the devs shouldn’t fix it obviously.

The linked post isn’t even about the OP issue. It was simply a no sound issue because LE decided to use the monitor speakers instead of the system one and it doesn’t have a channel choice.
There was no crash involved in the linked post. Just an alt tab to switch output channels on windows.
Personally, I think he just has the same issue some others have been having, which is MTX related, namely with pets, apparently. Which was definitely introduced this season, not since 2021 and that definitely affects less than 100k+.
This might be the case with the sound issue.
I made a bug post about this called PET MTX BUG
Were if u have pets cosmetics equiped the sound over time will degrade and sound like its under water and begins to overlap itself and eventually it crakles once at this point. The preformence starts to go and lag begins to happen.
The fix for this is to remove ur pet MTX. restart the game. And not use pet MTX
Both wife and i had this issue removing pets and restarting and not using them fixed the lag and sound issues. Which completely fixed the issue for us. This issue can also be replicate
Im guessing pets are messing with the sound some how
Someone on steam also posted about the sound issue and what they explained in there post told me they are most likely using pet MTX which is causing there sound issue and lag. I gave them this fix as well as let them know wife and i had this issue too
Maybe with some specific pet MTX. Or maybe just an online thing. Offline I have my pets out all the time and I’ve had no issues.
When I log into online to check something with my MG character I’ve had no issues with it either, but that might be because I only log in for a few minutes to check stuff, so there’s not enough time for it to hit.
Anyway, that is a completely different issue from what the OP says is happening to him since 2021, since LE didn’t have pets back then (did they even have MTX?).
And completely different issue from what’s in the linked post.
As for the pet bug, I’m sure EHG is already aware of that and working on it.

If so theres an issue with sound degrading when using them. Which once it goes to crap is followed by preformence tanking causing lag.
To fix this remove ur pet MTX restart the game. And dont use pet MTX for the time being.
Wife and i have had sound issues even after the fix for sound mute issue was released. Doing this the above issues went away.

Yes its starts out fine then as u play it begins to degrade id say around about 30 minutes befoe this begins to happen. Then followed by lag.
Yes i think it is an online only issue. Reason is when it gets really bad it sounds like the sound is laging behind. As well as sound playing before it should. Like the rouge lightning skill it wilm play the explosion sound long before it even explodes.
With no pet cosmetics on this doesnt happen at all

Honestly, I doubt it. I think he had some issues some years ago and he’s had some issues with this season and he just starting being passive aggressive and entitled.
I find it much more likely that he just has the same pet MTX issue other people are having and he’s just venting frustrations from something else in this forum.
