Is it possible to improve the process of listing items for sale by making it similar to PoE, but with some improvements?
I believe that MG currently has a poor UI for sellers. After about 1–2 hours of gameplay, you can accumulate quite a few different items. To sell them, you have to run around to different merchants and check item prices, which takes time that could be spent actually playing the game. For buyers, however, I think this UI works well overall. It makes sense to keep the current layout of the trading street with its NPC merchants, since purchases aren’t made as often as sales, and the fact that they’re somewhat complicated by how the system is implemented ultimately creates difficulties for speculators—which, in my opinion, is more of a good thing than a bad one.
I think we can significantly reduce the time people spend listing items for sale. To do this, items should be listed for sale directly from the inventory—for example, by right-clicking on an item, selecting “Sell,” and then a pop-up window will appear where you can enter the selling price, list the item, or cancel everything.
What could set trading in LE apart from PoE? I believe it’s the presence of a system that can analyze similar items listed for sale by other players directly within the game and, based on that, suggest the optimal selling price. To achieve this, players in PoE install third-party software, and if such a system were built directly into LE, it would show that the developer cares about players’ time and quality of life.
A little about my other wishes—I’d like to see an approximate price for an item listed somewhere at the bottom of its description. It would also be great to be able to create a rule for the loot filter that would allow filtering based on price on the marketplace.
