Simpler RMT-blocking trade scheme

  1. add a “clan” and “clan stash” system to the game
  2. only allow an ACCOUNT to be a member of 1 guild during an entire season.
  3. cap clans at 5-10 people

RMT trades are mostly blocked, because an RMT accoun would only be able to make a maximum of 5-10 trades in a season before they dont have any guild slots left, and this presumes they can find people who will “burn” their one seasonal guild join for an RMT transaction.

Well, like I replied in the other thread, it would actually do nothing to stop RMT and would even make it much easier.

Because, while one person can only be part of 1 clan per season, everyone is free to leave whenever they want, that’s a given. Which means that the clan is an ever rotating roster of people wanting to buy stuff. They join, buy the gold, leave. Then the next one is ready to.

Not only that, but RMTers use bot farms. So they’d actually just create 100 different clans (or 1000).

Lastly, capping clan limit at 5-10 people will simply nerf what clans are supposed to be about. Might as well just increase the party limit if you’re going to do that.
Creating a guild system that will enable RMT and won’t even please the people that have been wanting a guild system in the first place seems like a bad idea.
