Signet of Agony

Signet of agony, the aura effect for bone curse when toggled, the tooltip still reads “physical damage”
even tho i have converted it into necrotic. also, it doesn’t seem to work? it won’t apply the slow effect you need to put 3 points in, in order to spec it.

also it doesn’t seem to apply the marked for death effect either, from the sigil of mortality node.

does this aura even work? will i take increased necrotic damage instead of physical ?

also, if that’s the case, can i increase my necrotic resistance really high above 75 to neutralize the bone curse effect on my self? like when i have 500% necrotic resistance. thanks in advance, i really want to know

Signet of Agony also does not apply bleeds through Cloven Flesh.
I was also hoping that I could proc Crimson Enlightenment while Enemies were affected by Signet of Agony, but Rip Blood only procs that way once the enemy has moved outside of my aura or I turn it off. Extremely frustrating how little information this ability has, or I’m hoping it is just completely broken… No wonder no one plays Lich :frowning:

So far the only thing I’ve seen work with signet of agony is the increased area and damage nodes. From older (now closed) bug repots I found when looking into this, that might be all that is working with signet of agony.

I have checked for Crippling Anguish, Defile Defenses, and Marrow Thief - none of which have worked at any time either on the enemies or myself, on cast or over time with Signet of Agony.

Crippling anguish had been working on cast before selecting the Signet of Agony node, but I can’t confirm about the other two since I skilled Signet of Agony before picking them up. It looks like the mana cost to turn off Signet of Agony is still around as well.

Bone Curse and Signet of Agony appear to have a number of things not working, so hopefully these posts will help them get the attention they need.

Ah, this would explain why nobody’s posted about the fun and cool skill interaction I thought I found. Some confusion over what is or isn’t intentionally disabled by Signet of Agony could be clarified simply by giving the skill and its debuff different names, but I hope it’s mostly in error.
